Last updated: [DATE]

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of TutorDesk (the "Service") provided by [YOUR COMPANY / TRADING NAME] ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

TutorDesk is software that helps tutors manage students, lessons, homework, invoices, resources, and communication, including optional student/parent portals. We may update or change features over time.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information, keep your password secure, and are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to create a tutor account.

3. Your responsibilities for student & parent data

If you use TutorDesk to store information about students or their parents/guardians, you are the data controller for that information. You confirm that you have a lawful basis to process it and, where required, appropriate consent (including parental consent for children). You agree to handle that data lawfully and to use the portals and messaging features responsibly.

4. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the Service unlawfully or to store unlawful content.
  • Do not attempt to breach security, access other users' data, or disrupt the Service.
  • Do not upload malware or infringing material.

5. Fees & payments

[IF YOU CHARGE: describe plans, billing cycle, taxes, and refunds here. If the Service is currently free, state that and note that paid plans may be introduced with notice.]

6. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We may suspend access for maintenance or to protect the Service.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of the data and files you upload. You grant us a limited licence to host and process that content solely to operate the Service for you.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data or profits. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law. [HAVE A SOLICITOR CONFIRM THIS CLAUSE.]

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms. On termination, we will delete or return your data in line with our Privacy Policy.
