Terms of Service

Last updated: 7 June 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of TutorDesk (the "Service"), provided by Rewarding Learning Ltd ("we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

TutorDesk helps tutors manage students, lessons, homework, invoices, resources and communication, including optional student and parent portals. We may update or change features over time.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information, keep your password secure, and are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 to create a tutor account.

3. Your responsibilities for student & parent data

If you store information about students or their parents/guardians, you are the data controller for that information and we are your processor (see the DPA). You confirm you have a lawful basis and, where required, appropriate consent (including parental consent for children). You agree to handle that data lawfully, to use the portals and messaging responsibly, and to meet your own safeguarding and record-keeping obligations.

4. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the Service unlawfully or to store unlawful content.
  • Do not attempt to breach security, access other users' data, or disrupt the Service.
  • Do not upload malware or infringing material.

5. Plans, fees & payments

TutorDesk offers a free Starter plan and paid plans (Pro, Agency). Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance via Stripe, and you can cancel anytime — access continues to the end of the paid period. Fees exclude VAT unless stated. We may change pricing with reasonable notice; changes won't affect the period you've already paid for.

6. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We may suspend access for maintenance or to protect the Service.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of the data and files you upload. You grant us a limited licence to host and process that content solely to operate the Service for you.

8. Data retention & deletion

We retain and delete data as described in our Privacy Policy (including automatic clean-up of long-inactive student data and accounts). You can export your data and delete your account at any time from Settings. We recommend exporting any records you need to keep (e.g. for safeguarding or tax) before deleting.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profits or data. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence). Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms. On termination we delete your data in line with the Privacy Policy.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
